Richard Painter, a former White House lawyer in the George W Bush administration, who chose to run as a Democrat against Tina Smith, who was appointed the Minnesota Senate seat vacated by Al Franken, tweeted yesterday that he would be, “appearing on Comedy Central at 10:30 pm CDT tomorrow (Monday) night. Pre-tape in NYC at 6:30 EDT. After party with @Rosie in Midtown Manhattan at 8 pm EDT. Join us if you happen to be in NYC!” and the photos from the event have started to surface on social media:
Rosie tweeted out and invitation to come out and meet her after the show as well:
Katie McGrath tweeted out some photos from the event:
As well as Lori Seid on Instagram:
Though some shared their doubts about Painter’s true intentions…
…Rosie has stated that she agrees with everything he’s said on tv thus far:
She also asked him how she could help to max out his campaign in April:
And, as with tonight’s event, it looks as though she’ll continue to support him through this upcoming election! You can follow Richard Painter on Twitter, here. And Rosie, here.
